Cain Lecture: “Nursing & Bio-Behavioral Research in Heart Disease”We are honored to inform you that Dr. Lorraine Frazier will be joining us as this year’s Cain Lecturer on Monday, May 5, 2008. The theme of her lecture will be “Nursing and Bio-Behavioral Research in Heart Disease”. The lecture is free and open to the public, and we highly encourage nursing faculty and students to join us for Dr. Frazier's presentation.

Dr. Lorraine Frazier is an associate professor in the Systems and Technology Department of the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston School of Nursing. She received a baccalaureate degree in nursing science from the University of Oklahoma. She received both a masters and a doctorate in nursing science at the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston. The consistent theme throughout Dr. Frazier’s program of research has been the exploration of biological and behavioral risk factors as predictors of outcomes in patients with cardiovascular disease. Her focus is on the genetic-environmental interaction of inflammation and depression on coronary outcomes in older individuals with acute coronary syndromes. We look forward to seeing you on May 5! |
