Undergraduate Prospective Student Information Sessions

Undergraduate Students must sign up for an information session by clicking on the registration link for the listed session. Use your UTEID and Password to register. You may contact the Student Affairs Office at 512-232-4780 if you have problems signing up or have any questions.

Prospective Student Information Sessions at the School of Nursing are designed to enhance students’ understanding of nursing as a major at the University of Texas at Austin. The sessions are specific to targeted students but all provide information about degree requirements, applying to the Upper-Division Professional Sequence, support services and more. Each session is led by an academic advisor, who then serves as a point-of-contact to answer any additional questions or concerns the students may have.

Current UT Students Information Sessions (non-nursing majors)

Prospective Freshmen Information Sessions (or high school students)

Campus visitors may schedule a session with the School of Nursing through the BE A LONGHORN website and choose REGISTER FOR A CAMPUS VISIT (requires UTEID and password). Spring semester sessions in the School of Nursing coordinate with the campus tours on 4/6, and 4/9/2012.

Prospective Transfer Information Sessions (or non UT-Austin students)

Campus visitors may schedule a session with the School of Nursing through the BE A LONGHORN website and choose REGISTER FOR A CAMPUS VISIT (requires UTEID and password). Spring semester sessions in the School of Nursing coordinate with the campus tours on 4/6, and 4/9/2012.

Nursing Honors Program Information Session

Date: Wednesday, February 15
Time: 5:00 to 6:00 PM
Location: NUR 1.108

The Undergraduate Nursing Honors Program is designed to enhance the educational experience of high achieving undergraduate nursing majors by focusing on the development of scholarship. Students whose official cumulative GPAs are 3.45 or above are eligible to apply to this competitive honors program which will begin in the Fall of their sophomore year.

Admission to the Nursing Honors Program requires acceptance by the Honors Program Committee. Acceptance into the honors program will confer automatic acceptance into the professional sequence of nursing, contingent upon maintaining competitive overall and science grade point averages.
