The Annual Giving Program is sustained by alumni and friends who renew their support annually. Contributions made to the School of Nursing Annual Giving Fund are essential to assist the School with current and emerging needs. The University of Texas at Austin receives less than 17% of its operating budget from state funding. Therefore, private support is critical to recruit and retain the best students and faculty, to conduct research that changes the world, and to keep classrooms, labs, and technology on the cutting edge. The nursing profession faces many challenges, primarily the nationwide nursing shortage. We are constantly striving to meet this demand and prepare nurses entering the profession. Your philanthropic support helps provide emergency financial support to students, support student travel to conferences, and maintain and enhance facilities.
