School Advisory Council

The School Advisory Council (SAC) was created in Fall, 1989 to help the School better meet the educational needs of nursing students in undergraduate and graduate programs. The SAC helps the School respond more efficiently to the ever-changing needs of our students and the health care systems. Members serve as community-wide evaluators of the School. SAC members are primarily nursing administrators in the Central Texas area agencies. The purposes of the SAC are to:

  • Advise the School of developments in the agencies that may be relevant to the School's programs;
  • Respond to the proposed new directions in the undergraduate and graduate curriculums; and
  • Assist the School to develop various accessible and flexible pathways for students in the undergraduate and graduate programs.
