Students Helping In Nursing Education (SHINE)
SHINE is a volunteer program for pre-nursing students designed to facilitate greater faculty/student interaction. Participating is a good way to meet faculty, learn about the School, and gain insight into nursing education and research.
A SHINE student volunteer agrees to work one to two hours per week for an assigned faculty member for at least one semester. Tasks vary but may range from filing and organizing materials to doing literature searches and data coding. Applications and detailed guidelines for SHINE are available during the first week of classes. All SHINE announcements will be made by e-mail.
