Degree Plan IDs

A Degree Plan ID consists of five parts with the first two and last two easily defined, leaving only the area of work code unique to identify different tracks within the same degree program. For example, HIS990USD20132 breaks down as follows:

Part Definition
HIS History
990 PhD (see *ADCODE, degree)
US An "area of work" (concentration / track) code (e.g., United States History), set up by the department via the EASI GCD Concentration Maintenance function
D Dissertation
20132 A span of catalog years expressed as CCYYS. They all end in 2 for spring. "20132" means beginning with catalog years 20112-20132 and continuing until the degree plan is made inactive.
