The Graduate School is pleased to announce the Outstanding Alumnus/Alumna Awards for 2007-2008.  This award recognizes outstanding academic or nonacademic achievements of Graduate School alumni or alumnae since graduation from The University of Texas at Austin with a doctoral or master's degree.  I would greatly appreciate your assistance in identifying and nominating candidates for this award from your graduate program.

Enclosed please find a nomination form and an announcement with details of the awards. We ask that the nomination from your graduate program be submitted through the Graduate Adviser and suggest that members of your Graduate Studies Committee be informed of nominations from your program.

The nomination packet (see nomination form) must be received in this office by Friday, December 14, 2007, to be considered.

We look forward to receiving your nomination and recognizing the outstanding achievements of our alumnus and alumna at the May 2008 Graduate School Convocation and annual awards banquet.  All of the Graduate School awards and the awards banquet are very generously underwritten by the University Co-op.
