The Graduate School and University Co-op will present three awards of $3,000 each to outstanding graduate students for the pursuit and achievement of excellence in research. (Each award carries entitlement to pay in-state tuition for 2009-2010.) For the purpose of these awards, research is interpreted broadly and applicants will be judged on the basis of outstanding contributions to their field of study. Research or writing must be substantially in progress.
All graduate students (master's or doctoral level) are eligible to apply if they: a) are currently enrolled in The University of Texas at Austin; b) are in good academic standing; and c) will be enrolled full or half-time (unless they are in doctoral candidacy) at the university during the 2009-2010 academic year.
