XIN CHEN - Molecular Biology. Dr. Chen's dissertation, Structure/Function Analysis of the Drosophila Fat Facets Deubiquitinating Enzyme and Analysis of the Faf-dependent Signaling Pathway, provides evidence for a new regulatory pathway in a basic cell biology process and has advanced significantly the understanding of an important class of enzymes. Dr. Chen's research has resulted in five first-author publications in journals such as Genetics and Genes and Development. Her supervisor is Dr. Janice A. Fischer.
