Linda Ferreira-Buckley receives her 2003 award for Outstanding Graduate Teaching
from Vice Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies Victoria Rodríguez

LINDA FERREIRA-BUCKLEY, Associate Professor in the Department of English/Division of Rhetoric and Composition, received her bachelor's degree from Providence College and her master's and doctoral degrees from Pennsylvania State University.  She joined the UT faculty in 1990, and has supervised eleven doctoral dissertations and served on an additional forty doctoral committees.  Dr. Ferreira-Buckley is an inspirational mentor and role model in her department where she is recognized for fostering a vibrant scholarly community and setting high professional standards.

Dr. Ferreira-Buckley's students comment on her thoughtful and thorough critiques of their work, her ability to promote critical awareness and self-sufficiency, and her encouragement and invaluable support in their professional development.
