Outstanding Master's Thesis/Report
TIMOTHY P. FEIST - History. Mr. Feist's thesis, The Stationers' Voice: English Almanacs in the Early Eighteenth Century, is an investigation and evaluation of almanacs published by the Stationers' Company of London in 1711 and 1712. His work demonstrates how these almanacs, as popular literature, as commodities, and as a part of a business, reflected and helped maintain the relative political, economic, and cultural stability of early eighteenth-century England. Mr. Feist has recently accepted a teaching position at the Naval Academy in Annapolis and will soon publish an article based on his thesis in Albion. Thesis supervisor: Neil Kamil.
