YI LU - Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Lu's thesis, Laser Micro/Nano Patterning, investigates laser-nanoparticle interactions and has a significant impact in the field of nanotechnology and nanomanufacturing. Practical application of his work may lead to future size reductions in small-scale devices for sensors, drug delivery, and microprocessors. Mr. Lu's research has resulted in several journal publications, conference papers, and a book chapter, in addition to a research grant from the National Science Foundation. Mr. Lu is currently a UT doctoral candidate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Thesis supervisor: Shaochen Chen.
