The Department of Defense will offer these fellowships to individuals who have demonstrated ability and special aptitude for advanced training in science and engineering. These fellowships will be awarded for study and research leading to doctoral degrees in mathematical, physical, biological, ocean and engineering sciences.
Eligibility:
U.S. citizens or nationals of the United States. Persons who hold permanent
resident status are not eligible to apply. These fellowships are intended
for students at or near the beginning of their graduate study in science
or engineering.

January 16
Stipend:
3 year award: (1) $19,000; (2) $20,000; (3) $21,000 plus tuition and fees.
