Graduate School Recruitment Fellowships
These fellowships are prestigious awards offered by the Graduate School to attract top quality graduate students to The University of Texas (UT). Graduate advisers have the vital role of identifying and nominating eligible applicants. Applicants who satisfy certain criteria may be offered fellowship support immediately without waiting for a committee decision. These fellowships are not available to students who are currently or were previously enrolled in the Graduate School at UT Austin; however, UT Austin undergraduates who meet the criteria are eligible.
Eligibility:
Students not currently or previously enrolled in the Graduate School at UT.
Candidates must rank within the top 10% of all students in their discipline.

2008-2009 Stipend:
Variable, depending on program. In the case of fellowships of $10,000 or more
(2008 / 2009), the Fellow receives in addition a $1119 supplement for medical
insurance and up to $3,012 per long semester toward tuition and fees.
Generally 80-90 awards are made annually.
