Thomas W. Cullen, Jr.

Thomas’ work in Microbiology has been devoted to understanding the threatened human immune system.  His thorough research has deduced the mechanism for how a microbe (Campylobacter jejuni) evades the immune system.  His further work is predicted to result in vaccines or other therapies that have previously been unsuccessful.  Thomas is not only a well-respected researcher in his field, but he is also inspired as a scientist by his own curious desire.
