Departments and programs are invited to request a grant from the Graduate School for attending a graduate recruiting event. Departments can propose to attend any program or activity that will assist them in identifying, meeting and recruiting prospective graduate students.
Deadline to submit requests to the Graduate School for a Fall event: September 5.
Events include, but are not limited to, graduate recruiting fairs, a series of meetings with peer graduate programs at a feeder school, a recruiting night or expo associated with a major conference or research symposium, and/or other similar activities. To assist departments in identifying graduate recruiting events, the Graduate School has compiled a list of events that is being distributed to departments and is available below as a pdf document. Events highlighted in yellow have been confirmed on the Recruitment Schedule. Departments should not apply for funding for these events, as the university already will be represented. However, graduate program representatives are invited to join Graduate School staff at these events and their registration costs will be covered.
Departments are not limited to this list; any graduate recruiting opportunity will be considered for a grant.
