Susan Morehead - Master's: Architectural History & Theory, 1997
I went to graduate school as a grandmother, joining my four children — two undergraduates, two in graduate school — and my husband, a professor, all at UT Austin. What a joy that was! I learned to draw and photograph on study tours to Mexico and Japan, traveled to India and Africa, and began teaching with my slides at UTSAGE. Now I am co-writing a book on Mexican architecture with my thesis director, Hal Box, and driving friends to remote corners of Mexico to show them 16th century churches. Graduate school opened a new world for me, and I love exploring it, photographing it and sharing it.
