Prof named one of most influential Hispanics

Hispanic Business Magazine named Associate Professor of Journalism Maggie Rivas-Rodriguez one of the "100 Most Influential Hispanics" in its October 2007 issue. Rivas-Rodriguez, who is also associate director of the Center for Mexican American Studies, was cited for participation in Defend the Honor, "a group of Hispanics unhappy the Ken Burns documentary statement on World War II originally omitted any Hispanic voices."
