Leslie Jarmon, faculty development specialist in the Division of Instructional Innovation and Assessment, received a $250,000 grant under UT System’s Transforming Undergraduate Education program. Jarmon’s proposal for the grant, Building Immersive Instructional Experiences and Learning Communities in Second Life, offers a creative approach to undergraduate instruction using Second Life, an online virtual world that converges social networking capabilities with three-dimensional environments.
