| Time: | May 3-24, All day event |
| Description: | Beginning Saturday, May 3rd, the Creative Research Laboratory will showcase the work of seniors from the Design Division within the Department of Art and Art History. This exhibition will run three weeks and include photography, interactive design, printmaking, film, product design, typography and mixed media. The public is invited to attend this free event including the opening reception on Saturday, May 5th from 6-9 p.m.
It has been said that "design is making sense of things" and this may ultimately be the best way to define such an all-encompassing practice. Students studying in this program are taught to observe and respond to the cultural, socio/economic, material, political, geographic and temporal environment. These ethical designers of the future, who will imbue our environments with depth, texture and meaning, present the culmination of their three-years of studies in this Senior Exhibition.
SENIOR DESIGN EXHIBITION 2008 will feature the work of Megan Braley, Christen Collier, James Edwards, Sarah Emmons, Kristen Folkens, Lindsey Gerhard, Courtney Goode, Magera Holton, Caspar Lam, Allison Lura, Kristin Macdonough, Robin Peeples, Anna Radley, Carla Rogers, and Caroline St Romain.
Creative Research Laboratory is open Tuesday through Saturday, Noon to 5 p.m. |
