| Description: | The Tower at The University of Texas at Austin will be lighted orange Sunday evening (May 25) to honor the baseball team, winners of the Big 12 Tournament Championship.
The No. 24 Longhorns posted a 15-7 win over the Kansas State University Wildcats in the title game of the Big 12 Tournament Championship at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City, Okla.
This Big 12 title marks the third league tournament crown for the Longhorns, who also won the championship in 2002 and 2003.
By winning the Big 12 title, the Longhorns earned an automatic bid to the 2008 College World Series.
The field will be announced Monday, May 26, at 11:30 a.m. Central during a live, half-hour program on ESPN. The 62nd College World Series begins play Saturday, June 14, at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Neb.
