Celebrate Constitution Day at the university
The University of Texas at Austin Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs presents "Celebrate Constitution Day."

Mission of "Celebrate Constitution Day":
-To celebrate the federal holiday as a university community
- To educate students and other members of the university community by increasing their knowledge of the United States Constitution and its history
- To foster a sense of appreciation for the Constitution and all documents that represent freedom
- To increase voter participation in this election year by encouraging others to register to vote
- To comply with the federal law created in 2004 that mandates all publicly funded institutions provide educational programming on the history of the American Constitution on that day

The program includes a Constitutional Organization Fair and Voter Registration Drive from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. hosted by various student organizations. A formal U.S. Constitution presentation will occur at noon with a reading of the Preamble.

"Celebrate Constitution Day" information and T-shirts will be distributed to those who participate. Please feel free to attend any part of the event throughout the day.
