What is a podcast?

A podcast is an episodic program delivered via the Internet to your computer. Podcast episodes can be audio files, video files or documents. You can manually download episodes or subscribe to the podcast using a client application, such as iTunes, which regularly downloads new episodes. The programs can then be viewed on your computer or a portable media player such as an iPod.

Podcast how-to

To subscribe to the OnCampus Video Podcast, copy the following URL and paste it into iTunes or another podcast client application:
http://www.utexas.edu/oncampus/podcast.php?id=video

In iTunes:

  1. Launch iTunes.
  2. In the Advanced menu, select Subscribe to Podcast.
  3. Enter the URL "http://www.utexas.edu/oncampus/podcast.php?id=video" in the text box (no quotes) and click OK.
