Without question, pornography is a reflection of this great Nations decline and self-destruction. I too have written extensively on this topic and am in general agreement with Jensen.

I have been doing research for a senior thesis that states "The availability of pornography increases crimes against women and children." Your book is indeed one of the books I picked up as well as Rape Culture, Opposing viewpoints' Online pornography and child abuse, and Pornified. What I have been finding is that many people do not find pornography an issue in today's culture. Your book has helped inspire me to get greatly involved in fighting against the porn industry. I know i just blabbed for a bit but I really just wanted to thank you for writing this book and showing the grim facts about the desensitized culture that Ameria has become. I was just curious what you think about the role that government should have in pornography.
Thank you ever so much.

The domestic Hollywood box office (money spent in US at theaters) is about $10 billion a year. That's not all of Hollywood's revenue; they also make money from dvd sales and rentals, and foreign distribution.
Annual revenues of the pornography industry industry are estimated at $10-$14 billion per year.
I use the figures to point out that pornography is a significant entertainment industy, though not as large as mainstream movies.

And for the other side of the story, several critical reviews of "Getting Off":

Oh, and the statistic you quote on the porn industry earning more than mainstream Hollywood movies – this is pretty dodgy, to put it mildly, and I'd really like to see where Jensen found this stat and how it was calculated.
