Design is a collaborative effort between the client and the design team. The Design Center uses an established process that includes the client in all stages of discovery, concept development and production. This client involvement ensures that the right message is being created.
Our Process
Discovery
We begin by asking questions:
- What are your goals?
- What is your voice?
- Who is your audience?
- What are your values?
A thorough examination of your group is essential to create communication solutions that speak directly to your target.
Review Current Strategies
- How does this project compare to previous campaigns?
- Assess the effectiveness of those prior strategies
- Research current customer perceptions
- How do you want to be seen?
- Analysis of competing messages to your target
Creative Brief and Concept Development
Once all the initial information is collected we prepare a creative brief. This document summarizes the goals and specifically outlines the strategic direction of your communication campaign. Upon your approval of the brief, we begin generating ideas for the production of your message. This includes:
- Define the visual style: complexity, color and mood, representation, movement and potency.
- Define the message: writing copy and capturing images that speak to your target.
- Design: several different executions of the same strategy are produced.
Presentation
- Present the designs
- Get feedback from you, the client, about your preferred execution and any changes you would like to see made.
- After making revisions, designs are resubmitted for final approval.
Production
- A team of developers within the Design Center prepares the final design for printing or posting.
- Proof approved by the client
- Press check and site testing
- Delivery
Follow-up
- Track the effectiveness
- Research and assess new audience awareness
