Client: College of Liberal Arts College of Communication College of Pharmacy School of Social Work Office of RelationshipManagement and University Events Office of Technology Commercialization Project: The College of Liberal Arts wanted to convey the idea of classical knowledge and passion for life-long learning. A shadowed, abstract rendering of columns implies traditional thought combined with modern design. The College of Communication wanted to raise awareness of their nationally recognized stature as well as improve perceptions within the university. This brand uses concentric waves representative of communication to produce a clean, contemporary look, reflecting the college’s persona. The College of Pharmacy hoped to reflect both the storied history and bright future of medicine. This clean, stylized representation of a traditional pharmaceutical symbol (the Bowl of Hygia) captures age-old wisdom combined with pioneering technology. The School Social Work wanted to show their important role in people’s lives - linking research and education to better our world. This diamond of linked characters conveys themes of social unity and teamwork, essential ideals for the college. Gone To Texas - Using detailed illustrations, this logo gives a colorful portrayal of Austin and the university, all within the word ‘Texas.’ This recognizable image has been used successfully for several years. Described as dynamic, creative and experienced, the OTC is the link between the University’s research labs and the marketplace. The logo is twofold; the blue hexagonal spark represents innovation and discovery while the sweeping arc brings these ideas to the market. |
