BIOGRAPHY

Jason Brownlee's research focuses on non-democratic states and deals with issues of dissent and repression. His book "Authoritarianism in an Age of Democratization" (Cambridge University Press, 2007) compares opposition movements in Egypt, Iran, Malaysia and the Philippines.
