BIOGRAPHY
Professor Mark Warr received his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. He is a criminologist known primarily for his research on peer influence and social reactions to crime.
He has served on numerous federal commissions and panels for such agencies as the National Science Foundation, National Academy of Sciences, and National Institute of Justice, and he is a recipient of the President's Associates Teaching Excellence Award.
His research on fear of crime in family households recently appeared in the American Journal of Sociology; his recent book was Companions in Crime (Cambridge University Press, 2002).
