BIOGRAPHY

Steven Moore is an Associate Professor of Architecture and Planning at The University of Texas at Austin and Director of the Design With Climate Program. He teaches architectural design and courses related to the philosophy, history and application of environmental technology. Moore received his undergraduate degree in architecture at Syracuse University and his Doctor of Philosophy at Texas A&M University. Moore is a Loeb Fellow of the Harvard Graduate School of Design, a Fellow of the National Endowment for the Arts and a MacDowell Fellow. He has practiced as the design principal of Moore/Weinrich Architects in Maine and has received numerous regional and national awards for design distinction. Moore has recently published articles in "Center,"; the "Journal of Architectural Education ," (JAE) and the "Design Book Review "(DBR). His book, "Technology and Place: Sustainable Architecture and the Blueprint Farm," was published by the University of Texas Press in 2001. He has edited, with Kenneth Frampton, a theme issue of the JAE on the topic of "technology and place" that appeared in February of 2001.
