BIOGRAPHY

One of the nation's leading scholars on teen sexual behavior, Dr. Regnerus is the author of the book "Forbidden Fruit," which tells the definitive story of how religion shapes the sexual values and practices of American teenagers. His research covers a wide range of topics, including sentiment about waiting to have sex until marriage, motivation to pursue sexual relationships and teenagers experience of virginity loss. He also studies the interplay of family and religion and is currently working on a book about religion and HIV/AIDS in Africa.
