BIOGRAPHY
I am interested in marine vegetation of subtropical and polar regions, the structure and function of estuarine and coastal food webs, the cycling of carbon and nitrogen in aquatic plant communities, the application of stable isotopes to trace human-caused nitrogen in coastal systems, and ecosystem response to climate change. Research projects are ongoing in the Arctic, in the Gulf of Mexico and along the Texas coast.
