BIOGRAPHY

Busch-Armendariz teaches courses in social policy, research and domestic violence. She is the principal investigator of the UT Institute on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, a collaboration between the Schools of Social Work, Nursing and Law. Her work has involved efforts to end violence against women and their children. She also has worked directly with incarcerated battered women who killed their batterers and regularly facilitates therapeutic support groups. She currently serves as principal investigator of the Green Leaf Project, which provides intensive health and mental health services to refugees, victims of trafficking and other immigrants to Central Texas. In her Take Five video lecture, she discusses findings from the first statewide survey of sexual assault ever conducted in Texas.
