Former UT regent and museum benefactor Jack S. Blanton beams as the museum that bears his name prepares to open the doors of its new building April 29-30. The new Blanton will be the largest university art museum in the country and the third largest art museum in Texas.

Staff Recognition Program, President’s Reception set for May 2

The 2006 Staff Recognition Program and President's Reception will be held May 2 at the Frank Erwin Center. The annual ceremony formally recognizes staff in three categories: staff service, staff excellence and outstanding supervisor. The Staff Service Awards Program recognizes the importance of the contributions of staff to the continuing success of the university. Recognition is based on length of service. The 2006 recipient list contains 826 classified and administrative/professional employees with 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years of staff service with the university.
