Flawn, president ad interim of The University of Texas at Austin, provided the following statement in response to comments reportedly made by a law professor, Lino Graglia, who spoke at a press conference Wednesday (Sept. 10). Flawn's response is as follows: "The statements (by Graglia) do not represent the position of The University of Texas at Austin, or my personal views. These statements were made by one individual, speaking for himself. The University administration strongly supports diversity on our campus. Students from all ethnic backgrounds succeed academically at this institution." |
