 Mrs. John B. (Nellie) Connally
Mrs. John B. (Nellie) Connally shows her exuberance and thanks during the dedication of the John B. Connally Center for the Administration of Justice on Nov. 10.

Nellie Connally and Sharon Connally Ammann
Nellie Connally and daughter, Sharon Connally Ammann, display the bust of John B. Connally at the dedication of the Center for the Administration of Justice that bears his name. Ammann sculpted the bust of her father that is on display at the center. The center includes a state-of-the-art courtroom for the use of trial and appellate courts in Travis County and from across the state, and will house the Texas Center for Public Policy Dispute Resolution. The building is named after John B. Connally, former governer of the state of Texas (1962-68) and U.S. secretary of the treasury during the Nixon administration. Connally received both his bachelor's degree and law degree from UT Austin. Throughout his career, Connally was committed to broadening the mission and scope of higher education in Texas. He died June 15, 1993.
