Flawn Academic Center Renovation (FAC)

Construction Dates: Summer 2009-Winter 2011

Details: This project improves critical building systems and upgrades the life safety components as required to comply with the current codes, and to provide a complete renovation/reconstruction of the 3rd and 4th floors of the Flawn Academic Center. The renovation work includes upgrades to the fire alarm system components, telecommunication and data systems, and repair/replacement of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as required. The work also includes compliance with the latest accessibility standards and environmental regulations.

Benefits to Campus: This renovation project provides much needed space for the consolidation and expansion of several departmental operations from disbursed sites across campus to a more central location in the Flawn Academic Center. This consolidation will improve management infrastructure and curriculum processes while allowing for a more efficient use of the 3rd and 4th floors of FAC.
