The University of Texas at Austin

Office of Sustainability

The University of Texas at Austin is committed to sustainability. Please explore this site to learn what we’re doing to integrate sustainability principles and practice into all aspects of the University.

The university hired its first director of sustainability in 2009 to support and promote the many existing efforts on campus as well as to initiate new collaborations among students, faculty, and staff in pursuing sustainability on campus. The office is part of the Campus Planning and Facilities Management (CPFM) portfolio within University Operations.

We hope this site helps you learn about the university’s sustainability initiatives and encourages you to find ways to participate — your feedback is welcome!
