TRecs rolls out new Service Request Process and form

Technology Resources is introducing a new Service Request Process for University Operations to standardize prioritization and management of work requests. Operations’ Associate Vice Presidents have approved the new process and Service Request Questionnaire (SRQ) form, which will be refined through April.

Across the portfolio, business units are experiencing an increased need for TRecs support in order to do more with less. This, in addition to Executive Mandates, Compliance Requirements and Operational Issues, has resulted in an increased workload and rapidly changing priorities for TRecs. The old processes are not allowing efficient and effective responses.

With the new process, AVPs can appropriately prioritize and allocate resources for the portfolio. Standardization of processes will ensure consistency and effective use of resources, and requestors, AVPs and TRecs staff will have visibility into the status of requests and assigned work.
