TRecs to deliver news via website

By Lance Bailey
March 14, 2013

The TRecs website is about to roar back to life.

Client Services will begin writing news stories about Technology Resources and posting them to the TRecs website in accordance with Director Rogelio Ruiz’s request to “establish a more predictable and consistent approach to communication for Technology Resources.”

Ruiz has tasked his management team with developing story ideas based on TRecs’ latest initiatives, challenges and successes. Additionally, Ruiz encourages all TRecs staff to suggest any news they would like shared within the organization, from training opportunities and events to employee accomplishments and certifications.

The TRecs website may have gathered a bit of dust the past few months, but don’t put the dinosaur down as extinct yet. Assistant Director Liz Keene, editor, and Documentation Specialist Lance Bailey, writer, plan to resurrect it with timely and consistent stories to keep the TRecs team informed. Bi-weekly emails to the TRecs team will also provide links to stories to encourage site visits.

Send news tips and story ideas to Bailey at lance.bailey@austin.utexas.edu or Keene at liz.keene@austin.utexa.edu.

The TRecs website is at http://www.utexas.edu/operations/trecs/.
