Server Support
What We Do
The Server Support team configures and maintains over 75 servers providing University Operations staff with secure, reliable, and responsive application resources, along with data storage and backup. The servers we support use a variety of access methods: web-based, client-server based, and databases.
How We Do It
The majority of systems we manage are Linux, and Windows based. We use automatic notifications and manual monitoring to check the heartbeat of these IT resources including their network connectivity and performance statuses.
Who We Are
With certifications such as MCSE (the premiere Microsoft certification for Windows Server NT4, 2000 or 2003 systems), OCP (Oracle Certified Professional), GCUX (GIAC Certified UNIX Security Administrator), and GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials Certification), the Server Support team has the knowledge and skills to manage the security, reliability, and responsiveness of your server resources.
