In accordance with the university’s Parking & Traffic Regulations, a vehicle may be immobilized, impounded or "booted" when a person/vehicle has four outstanding, unpaid UT Austin citations or any one citation over 120 days old. A bar may be placed on any student who fails to remit payment. Faculty and staff members of the university may face disciplinary action for not paying these charges. Unless payment of all accumulated charges is made within 12 days of the date of the citation appropriate enforcement may be taken.
