2013 Bike to UT Day
Wednesday, May 1st
Come celebrate Bike to UT Day with us! PTS wants to encourage cycling and bring awareness to bicycle use on campus and the community as a whole. Between noon and 3 p.m., Gregory Plaza will be full of bike enthusiasts and festivities. Enjoy free pizza, t-shirts, tote bags, bike lights and maps, and even a keg of root beer.
Along with free food and giveaways, the plaza will be lined with various campus groups, all with an appreciation for cycling in common. Orange Bike Project will be helping cyclists fix up their rides, lending tools and tips. The Campus Environmental Center will have a bike-powered smoothie maker with a refreshing payoff for peddlers. RecSports spin bikes will remind users that cycling can also serve as exercise. You'll even have the chance to test your riding skills on a mini bicycle.
And for commuting cyclists, stop by one of the PTS kiosks between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. on your way into campus to get a complimentary light breakfast and a chance to enter a raffle for prizes.
