Formula One Parking 2012
The City of Austin is hosting the Circuit of Americas F1 Race and Austin Fan Fest 2012 Friday, November 16, 2012 through Sunday, November 18, 2012. The university has partnered with the city by allowing Centennial Park to be the shuttle pick-up and drop-off point for those attending the race. This will result in heavy vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the area bound by Trinity, 15th Street, MLK, and the IH-35 frontage road. Additionally, various street closures will occur throughout the weekend.

Parking Disruptions
Trinity Garage “R” Permit Holders
“R” permit holders in the Trinity Garage (TRG) are required to move to the Brazos Garage (BRG). Your access card will be programmed for BRG during this entire relocation. You may move your vehicle to BRG starting at 2 pm on Thursday, November 15th. Your vehicle must be out of TRG no later than 9 PM on Thursday night. Parking past 9 pm in TRG Thursday night will result in ticketing and/or towing.
You may return your vehicle to TRG as early as 8 pm on Sunday, November 18th. However, it must be back to TRG on Monday, November 19th by 12 noon. Vehicles not moved by this time will be subject to ticketing, towing, and/or addition daily garage parking fees.
If BRG does not meet your parking needs, you may also park in any of the Longhorn Lots on campus as long as your permit is properly displayed.
Trinity Garage “F” and “S” Permit Holders
You are free to use Trinity Garage (TRG) during this event and are not required to relocate, but we highly encourage it. However, please plan for large crowds and delays in both entering and exiting the garage.
TRG “F” or “S” permit holders may park on a space-available basis at NO CHARGE in any of the university garages with the exception of the Conference Center Garage (CCG) and Manor Garage (MAG).
On Friday, pull a ticket to get into the garages. Before you leave the garage, show the garage attendant your TRG permit and a photo ID, you will then be validated out. Your ticket must be validated before 9 pm, but will work to allow you out at any time once it has been validated.
On Saturday and Sunday, your garage access card will be programmed to work at the gates.
