D Class Permit for Faculty/Staff with Disabilities
Eligibility: Class D Permits are issued to faculty and staff who have a verifiable disability; applicants must provide a TX DOT VTR-214 form with a doctor's signature, or a copy of their state disability placard or state disability license plate verification.

Availability: Class D permits are not limited and are available to qualified applicants.
Can I purchase a D permit if my disability is only temporary in nature?
Temporary D parking permits for students are issued by the PTS office upon receipt of a letter or fax from the applicant's doctor stating the nature and duration of the temporary disability at a rate of $10 a month. Temporary UT D permits do not require a corresponding state disability permit.
In addition to the D permit, can I purchase another permit?
Yes. Faculty and staff may purchase a regular permit for which they are qualified (F permit , A permit).
How can I purchase a D permit?
Faculty and staff may purchase a Class D permit at the PTS office located on the ground level of the Trinity Parking Garage at the corner of MLK Blvd and Trinity upon verification of the required documents.
Where can I park with a D permit?
ClassD permit holders may use the permit to park in the disabled spaces (maps) located throughout campus.
What do I do if I can’t find a space on campus?
If you are unable to locate a disabled space in the area you prefer please proceed to a kiosk and a guard will assist you with an alternative location. Parking in another location without authorization and a temporary permit may result in the issuance of a citation.
