More Information on "D" Permits
Can I purchase a "D" permit if my disability is only temporary in nature?
Temporary "D" parking
permits for students are
issued by the PTS office
upon receipt of a letter
or fax from the applicant's
doctor stating the nature
and duration of the temporary
disability at a rate of
$9 a month. Temporary
UT "D" permits
do not require a corresponding
state disability permit.
Are there "D" permits available?
PTS does not limit the number of Class "D" permits sold and therefore "D" permits are always available for purchase.
In addition to the "D" permit, can I purchase another permit?
Yes. Students may purchase a regular student permit for which the student qualifies ("R" ,"S", "N", or "C") permit.
How can I purchase a "D" permit?
Students may purchase a Class "D" permit at the PTS office located on the ground level of the Trinity Parking Garage at the corner of MLK Blvd and Trinity upon verification of the required documents.
Where can I park with a "D" permit?
Class "D" permit holders may use the permit to park in the disabled spaces located throughout campus.
What do I do if I can’t
find a space on campus?
If you are unable to locate a
disabled space in the area you prefer please proceed
to a kiosk and a guard will assist you with an
alternative location. Parking in another
location without authorization and a temporary
permit may result in the issuance of a citation.
