Cancellation Policy

It is important to pay your insurance premiums on time to avoid cancellation. Payments can be made in full or in monthly installments. If the due date falls on a weekend or holiday, payment is due by the following business day.

Note: Accounts that are two months behind on the last day of a month may be subject to cancellation.

Payment Options

You have three ways to pay: AutoPay, on the Web, or by mail.

  • AutoPay—Automatic Payment via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) from your bank account.

Automatic payments can either be set up online through AutoPay or by submitting a paper enrollment form. You can update or cancel your enrollment at any time. A high assurance EID is required to enroll online. For information about upgrading your UT EID, visit UT EID Self Service Tools.

You may also contact Payroll Services at 512-471-5271 for information on starting this new service. Download the Automatic Payment Request Authorization form and mail it to the Payroll Services at the address on the back of the form.

Note: Do not send the form with your payment.

  • Online (Requires a high assurance EID)

Payments are accepted online through What I Owe. You can make payments by credit card, EFT, or electronic check (ECheck).

  • Mail

    Mail payments to:

The University of Texas at Austin
    P.O. Box 13177
    Austin, TX 78711

For check and money order payments:

    • make payable to The University of Texas at Austin.
    • include your UT EID (located on your bill next to your name).
    • write "Retiree Insurance" on the check or money order.

For MasterCard and Discover credit card payments:

    • fill in your credit card number and expiration date.
    • specify the amount of your payment.
    • sign the payment coupon.

For monthly installment payments, include a message with your payment indicating you are paying for "UT Austin—Retiree Insurance"; this will ensure proper credit. Also provide:

    • your name.
    • UT EID (located on your bill next to your name).
    • payment method. Include either a check or your credit card number, expiration date, and the amount to be charged.
