Parker Medal
Dr. Robert L. Talbert has been selected to receive the Paul F. Parker Medal from the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.

A Great Man
The College of Pharmacy is mourning the death of Dr. Leroy Knodel, an inspired educator and a truly great man. He died unexpectedly on Friday, August 21 of a heart attack.


Mentoring Award
Dr. Lydia Aguilera has been named recipient of a 2015 College Excellence Award for Mentoring for the College of Health and Human Services at the University of Texas-Pan American (Rio Grande Valley).

Skin Cancer Research Grant
Dr. John DiGiovanni, professor of pharmacology and toxicology, has been awarded a $900,000 grant to study the role of a protein, Twist1, in the development of nonmelanoma skin cancer (NMSC).
