2015 Application Instructions for the Pharm.D. Program

The Pharm.D. program at The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy prepares students for careers as pharmacists. If you are interested in seeking admission into this program, the information below will guide you in completing the application process. Please see the Undergraduate Catalog for more information about the College of Pharmacy.  If you are admitted, you will be placed in the new 2014-16 Undergraduate Catalog. 

Please read through the following informational links. They should provide answers to questions you may or may not have considered.

The Pharm.D. Application process requires that you submit both the PharmCAS application AND a UT Austin College of Pharmacy Supplemental application which open this July 14th for the fall 2015 admissions cycle. There are three key points to keep in mind:

The fall 2015 application cycle opens Monday, July 14, 2014 with a DEADLINE of Monday, November 3, 2014, by 5pm (CST). 

Please see the anticipated fall 2015 application cycle timeline (no timeline posted at the moment). It takes 4-5 weeks for PharmCAS to process and verify all of your submitted application material. Please do not wait until the last minute to submit and pay for your applications!!  

Step ONE (of a two step process): Complete and submit the PharmCAS On-line Application.  You will also complete and submit a UT Austin College of Pharmacy on-line Pharm.D. supplemental application.  Both applications will be due NOVEMBER 3 for the following fall entry semester.

Step TWO:Once you submit your PharmCas application, you will complete the UT Austin College of Pharmacy  SUPPLEMENTAL on-line application. Your PharmCAS ID Number will be required for completion of the supplemental application. It is very important that you enter your PharmCAS ID Number correctly into the supplemental application.

Submission of your completed College of Pharmacy supplemental application and a NON-REFUNDABLE fee ($75) are both required in order for your supplemental application to be considered "complete". Once you submit your supplemental application, you will be directed to your application bill using the University of Texas at Austin "What I Owe" system to make payment.

Before you begin the supplemental application, you must read the following information regarding our requirements and policies:

You will need to check the status of your PharmCAS and Pharm.D. supplemental application through the respective web sites.

If you are admitted into The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy, you will be asked to submit official transcripts to the College of Pharmacy from ALL institutions you've attended. If you are a current or past UT student, you do not need to submit a UT transcript; you will need to submit transcripts from ALL other institutions however. We will provide further instructions later in March.
