Pharm.D. Program

Foreign Transcripts

The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy does not evaluate transcripts from outside of the United States.

Prospective Students
We highly recommend that you have your foreign transcripts course-by-course evaluated by AACRAO (American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers) .

The PharmCAS application instructions (pdf) provides information on several foreign transcript evaluation services you can use.   If you have already obtained a course-by-course evaluation by one of the foreign transcript evaluation services indicated by PharmCAS, you do not need to obtain an ACCRAO evaluation.

Self-Evaluation of Coursework
Here is your approach to self-evaluating your coursework against our pre-pharmacy prerequisite requirements:

Step 1: Submit foreign transcript(s) documentation to AACRAO or any other foreign transcript evaluation service.  Make sure you request a course-by-course evaluation.

Step 2: Once you receive your evaluation from a foreign transcript evaluation service, you can then compare your results with our list of pre-pharmacy prerequisite course requirements .

Step 3: If you do not have a bachelors degree that’s equivalent to a U.S. bachelors degree, then you will also be required to fulfill UT Austin’s general university course requirements also known as CORE and FLAG course requirements.  If you have a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelors degree, the CORE and FLAG course requirements will be waived.

Current Applicants
UT Austin College of Pharmacy requires you to send a foreign course-by-course evaluation report to PharmCAS.

You will discover in the PharmCAS application instructions (pdf) that there are several foreign transcript evaluation services you can use.

The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy highly recommends that you submit an AACRAO course-by-course evaluation of your foreign transcripts to PharmCAS if you have not already obtained a course-by-course evaluation by a foreign transcript evaluation service.

If you are accepted into the UT Austin College of Pharmacy Pharm.D. program, we will then ask you to submit your foreign transcript(s) to our UT Austin main admissions office.  We will communicate more specific details at that time.
