Application for Residency

Many of our programs are using PhORCAS for their applications. You will not see those programs available on this application. If in doubt, please check with the Residency Program Director.

The Residency application requires a UT-EID (University of Texas Electronic ID).This UT-EID will be used throughout your association with UT-Austin, so you should take care to protect your UT-EID and your password. If you are a former student or employee, you should already have a UT-EID. If do not already have one, a link is provided below for you to acquire one.

The programs utilize an electronic application. You will only need to complete the online application once, even if you are applying to more that one affiliated residency. In order to complete your application for Residency at the University of Texas, you must:

Obtain a UT-EID (Electronic Identifier.) Please include this UT-EID on all correspondence and paperwork you submit to the University of Texas. Once you have created your UT-EID, the system will link you to the application.
If you already have a UT-EID, fill out the online application (requires UT-EID- see step 1.)
Please upload a copy of your Curriculum Vitae in .PDF , .TXT or .DOC format
If you have interviewed at Midyear, you are encouraged to upload a photograph in .JPG format; however, this item is voluntary.
On the application you will be asked to indicate which residency you are applying. You may select more than one.
You will be asked to provide the name, institution, and email addresses of three (3) individuals who will serve as references. These individuals should have firsthand knowledge of your performance as a clinician, teacher or researcher. The system will automatically generate an email to your references, providing a link for them to our Online Letter of Reference system.
Please send by mail or email a letter of intent to the primary contact person, as listed on the Colleges website for each residency to which you apply.
An official transcript from your highest degree (PharmD) should be mailed to:
